4.2 Reflection

Carey's reading and the discussions further increased my belief in how technology has continued to shape our lives in what they are today and that they will always. There is no way in controlling how they control us. I find that there is no degree in which technology and ideology are inseparable. Technologies shape our lives and the way we think. This is awful to think about but I find that modern society is controlled by technology and that we almost have no control over technology. It like we are living in a SciFi movie or something. In way i do buy Carey's argument that technology is tied to managerialist and imperialist ideology because he does bring up valued examples of how they affected these different ideologies.
